Farruca
It is originally from Galicia. It is a cante that has been adapted in Flamenco. The baile of the Farruca is sober and virile, with certain resemblance to Soleá, in which the redobles ( a series of four or five beats compressed into one or town beats ) of the foot and strong blows with the shoe heels, that are typical of a man with predominance of inscrutable attitude, characterize. It is melancholy and static, rhythmic and solemn. The major difficulty is the off-beat redobles that alternate with its peculiar steps.
